Being Smart at Work
Useful Information for Parents
Business organizations are working proactively to help their employees become more equipped to balance the responsibilities of work and family life, resulting in better recruitment and increased retention. Dona Matthews and Joanne Foster, the co-authors of Being Smart about Gifted Children: A Guide book for Parents and Educators (2005), recognize that working parents face many challenges. The award-winning authors are available to talk to groups in various settings about nurturing high-level development in children, establishing parent support networks, and encouraging the optimal development of young people—leading to positive outcomes at home and at work.
